11. Handling
•
Never plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a cold to a warm
environment. The condensation that forms might damage the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature
before connecting it. Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
•
Never disconnect power plugs from the mains socket by the cable. Always pull out it out of the mains socket holding
it by the contact surfaces provided for this purpose.
•
Unplug the power adapter if you are not going to use the device for a while.
•
For safety reasons, disconnect the power adaptor from the mains socket during storms.
•
To ensure adequate ventilation, the device and the power adapter must never be covered. In addition, air circulation
must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
•
Do not listen to excessively loud music over long periods of time. This may damage your hearing. This is especially
the case when using headphones.
12. Troubleshooting
You are having problems registering your internet radio with your WLAN network.
•
Check whether another device such as, e.g., A computer or tablet can access the internet via WLAN.
•
It is possible that your WLAN’s range has been exceeded. Try to position your internet radio nearer to your WLAN
router.
• Check if the DHCP server is running in your router and whether you have configured the fixed IP address with all
settings (Subnet Mask, Standard gateway) correctly.
•
Make sure that your Firewall is not blocking the necessary outgoing ports.
• Some access points are configured so that they do not accept new devices if their MAC address is not registered on
the configuration page in the access point. For this, refer to the handbook for your access points or for your router.
The MAC address can be found in the menu as follows:
„CONFIGURATION“ > „INFORMATION“ > „NETWORK INFORMATION“ > „WiFi MAC“ or via the INFO button (32)
•
Check whether you have entered the correct WLAN key. Remember that passwords are case sensitive.
You want to use the Media Center function but the radio cannot find a device in the network.
•
Check whether the radio is connected with your WLAN. In addition, the radio and server must be in the same
network.
• You have an active firewall in your server which may be blocking access to the shared or public folders. For this,
refer to your firewall’s handbook if possible.
