i) Making a call
• Dial the number on your mobile phone.
• Once the connection is established, the product switches to hands-free mode automatically.
•
When the call is finished, the product continues the playback automatically.
j) USB charger
Always turn off the desired device before connecting it to the USB port.
Make sure the connection is correct. If the product is not connected properly, it could overheat
or cause an electric shock or fire.
Make sure that the device meets the product’s power requirements (see technical data).
You can charge or operate two USB devices simultaneously using the product. How to connect
a single USB device is described below.
The total output current is 3400 mA and is distributed to both USB ports. The USB port next to
the flexible gooseneck delivers an output current of 2400 mA. The other USB port delivers an
output current of 1000 mA.
• Connect the switched-off USB device to the product.
• Plug the product into your vehicle‘s on-board voltage socket.
• Your USB device is now charging. Should you wish to operate the USB device, you may turn it on now.
• Turn off the USB device before you disconnect the product from your vehicle‘s on-board voltage socket.
• Unplug the product from your vehicle‘s on-board voltage socket after use.
You can operate the product while the engine is both on or off. However, avoid starting the
engine while the product is connected as this cuts power to the voltage socket briefly (this may
not apply to all vehicle models). If the engine is switched off, drawing current over a longer period
of time will discharge the vehicle battery.
k) Replacing the fuse
The car plug contains a fuse. If tripped (e.g. in case of a short circuit), the fuse can be replaced as follows:
• Turn the black cap on the tip counter-clockwise.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with an identical fuse (F3AL250V).
• Reinstall the cap and turn it clockwise.
Never override a defective fuse.
Never use a fuse with a higher current or another action trigger. This can result in a fire.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning. Disconnect any connected devices and
cables from the product.
•
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
