Start-up

•  You can set up the solar module using the supplied holder or mount it on the ground

stake.

The plastic strip is slightly longer on one of the solar module’s lateral sides; here you

can attach the holder.

On the holder you can then attach the ground stake. You can insert the supplied

extension tube between the holder and the ground stake, depending on the site of

the installation.

Do not use force when you put the ground stake into the ground. Do not drive

the ground stake into the ground with a hammer; this will damage it.

Align the solar module towards the south, and please choose a location that is not

in the shade.

•  Attach the aerator stone to one end of the hose.
•  Connect the other end of the hose to the air outlet of the air pump.
•  Connect the round plug on the air pump’s cable to the matching socket on the back

of the solar module.

•  Place the aerator stone in the pond; the aerator stone should not be more than 1 m

under water.

Make sure that the aerator stone does not sink to the bottom of the pond.

Algae or mud could impede performance.

•  If the amount of sunlight is sufficient, the air pump will start and bubbles will emerge

from the aerator stone introducing oxygen into the water.

•  Place the air pump in such a way that it can suck in air. Make sure that the air pump

does not lie in a puddle or directly on the ground; place the pump on a flat stone for

example.

If a small amount of water gets into the suction opening (e.g. during rain), it will be

forced through the aerator stone by the air pump.

Take the hose/aerator stone out of the pond during frost to avoid damage.

Store the product in a dry, clean and dark room so that the air pump cannot

start (unplug the solar module from the air pump, if necessary).

Maintenance and cleaning

The product requires no servicing on your part apart from occasional cleaning of the

solar module surface.
Only use a clean, soft cloth moistened with water for cleaning.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents, as these can cause discolouration. To prevent

scratch marks, do not press too strongly on the surface of the solar module when

cleaning.
Algae can form on the aerator stone after prolonged operation. They can be removed

with a soft brush. Then, check the function of the aerator stone in a bucket of water

(direct the solar module towards the sun). If only a few air bubbles appear (despite

sufficient exposure of the solar module to sunlight), the aerator stone must be re-

placed with a new one.

Disposal

The product must not be disposed of in household waste!

Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, in accordance

with the current statutory requirements.

  Operating instructions

  Solar pond aerator

Item no.

Intended use

The product is used to improve the oxygen supply of a water pond.
Depending on the exposure to sunlight, a solar module generates electricity for a sep-

arate air pump. By means of a hose, the air is passed to an aerator stone that gener-

ates many small air bubbles.
Please read these operating instructions carefully to ensure safe use and operation of

the product. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place for future reference. If

you pass the product on to a third party, please pass on these operating instructions

as well.
