ENGINE IMMOBILISER
This prevents the vehicle being
driven by anyone not in possession
of the vehicle's RENAULT card.
The
vehicle
is
automatically
protected a few seconds after the
engine is switched off.
Any
work
or
modification
to
the
engine
immobiliser
(computer, wiring, etc.)
may be dangerous. It must be
carried out by trained RENAULT
Network personnel.
Operating principle
When the ignition is switched on,
(RENAULT Card fully inserted in
the reader) warning light 1 lights up
for a few seconds and then goes out.
The vehicle has recognised the code
and the engine can be started.
If the vehicle does not recognise the
code, warning light 1 and the reader
will
flash
continuously
(rapid
flashing) and the vehicle cannot be
started.
