Remove the folding yoke bell

(discard).

Set the wheels straight.

Remove the folding yoke bolt

(discard).

Remove the folding yoke nut (discard).

Remove the intermediate shaft bolt

on the
column.

Remove the intermediate shaft

Refitting
Perform the removal steps in reverse order.
Systematically replace the folding yoke bolt (ref
77 03 602 097
) and cam nut
after each removal.
Note:
On a new intermediate shaft, the folding yoke cam nut is pre-assembled,
do not remove the bell.
Follow the direction of assembly of the folding yoke bolt and cam nut.
Tightening torques:
Folding yoke bolt on steering box:
24Nm
.
Bolt on steering column:
32Nm
.
