Activating the front passenger
airbags
You should reactivate the airbag as
soon as you remove the child seat
from the front passenger seat, to
ensure the protection of the front
passenger in the event of an impact.
To reactivate the airbags: push
and turn lock 1 to the ON position.
Switch the ignition back on, and
then check that the
AIRBAG OFF
warning light 2 goes out. The means
of restraint which are additional to
the front passenger seat belt and
anti-submarining airbag (for the
three-door version) are activated.
Operating faults
It is forbidden to fit a rear-facing
child seat to the front passenger
seat if the airbag
activation/deactivation system is
faulty.
Allowing any other passenger to sit
in that seat is not recommended.
Consult your RENAULT Dealer as
soon as possible.
The passenger airbag must
only be deactivated or
activated when the
vehicle is stationary .
If the lock is moved when the
vehicle is moving, warning lights

and come on: the
passenger airbag is deactivated.
Switch the ignition off then on
again to reset the airbag in
accordance with the lock.
