7.6 Connection of a superordinate
controller provided
by the customer
Units of type ML can be switched on and off by a
superordinate controller.
In order to realise this function, the supplied multi-
function board (accessory bag Fig. 45) must be
inserted into the unit (see Fig. 46) and connected
by plug to the adapter board (pre-assembled to the
unit trim) contact CN 404 (see Fig. 47).

The multifunction board is equipped with a total of
5 terminals (see Fig. 48), with which the following
functions can be realised:

Terminals switch 1+2:
For this function, you must first jumper remove at
the multifunction board.
Potential-free contact for switching the unit off
externally. If this contact is opened (not bypassed),
the system enters stand-by and can no longer be
switched on by infrared remote control. If this con-
tact is closed (bypassed), the system reverts to the
most recently used operating mode.
Terminals ON/OFF1+ON/OFF2:
Potential-free contact for switching the unit off
externally. If this contact is opened (not bypassed),
the system goes into standby. However, with the
use of these two contacts switching on is not pos-
sible by infrared remote control. If this contact is
closed (bypassed), the system reverts to the fac-
tory setting 24 degrees automatic mode.
