INSTALLING THE CUTTING HEAD SHIELD
1. Slide the rear shield section onto the back of the mount bracket
(Fig. 1). The shield section should slide into the groove (Fig. 1).
This may require a firm push.
2. Slide the front shield section onto the front of the mount bracket
(Fig. 2). The shield section should slide into the groove (Fig. 2).
This may require a firm push.
3. Align the holes in the rear shield section with the holes in the
front shield section (Fig. 3).
4. Insert the 2 screws through the aligned holes (Fig. 3). Turn the
screws until they are finger tight.
5. Using a flat-head or T20 Torx® screwdriver, tighten the screws
until the cutting head shield is firmly in place.
WARNING:
To prevent serious personal injury, never
operate the unit without the cutting head shield in place.

WARNING:
Only use this attachment with RM300-PH
power heads. Using this attachment with any other unit
could result in personal injury and damage to the unit.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury and
damage to the unit, shut the unit off before removing or
installing an attachment.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE ATTACHMENT
Installing the Attachment
1. Remove the protective cap from the attachment.
2. Set the unit on a flat, level surface.
3. Align the attachment with the power head (Fig. 4) so that the
cutting head will face the ground when the unit is held in the
operating position (Fig. 5).
4. Insert the attachment into the power head until the latch snaps
into place (Fig. 4).
5. Gently pull the attachment away from the power head to verify
that it is securely installed.
Removing the Attachment
1. Push the latch button down firmly and pull the attachment
straight out of the power head (Fig. 4).

ROTATING THE ATTACHMENT
If desired, the attachment can be rotated 90º clockwise or
counterclockwise.
1. Push the latch button (Fig. 4) down firmly and rotate the
attachment clockwise or counterclockwise to the desired
position.
2. Release the latch button to lock the attachment in place.
