4.3.3 Key Operations and Displays in the MONITOR Mode
This section describes various key operations in the MONITOR Mode and the
displays obtained as a result of such key operations.
4.3.3.1 To Display Control Variable
When you press the MON key, "M" will appear in the display as shown below. If it
is followed by pressing the 0 to 9 ENTER keys, the control variable of the
entered number will be shown in the Display Line 1 (for the Display Line 1, see the
figure in Section 4.3.1). If no value has been set to the specified control variable, a
question mark (?) will be displayed in the same line.

Important: It is impossible to switch the MONITOR Mode to other mode while "M"
is displayed as a result of pressing the MON key. If you desire to
switch to any other mode, first clear "M" from the display by pressing
the ALLCLR key or the MON ENTER keys, and then change
the mode to a desired one.
If a wrong number was entered by mistake, press the MON key and enter the
correct number.
Example: When you desire to monitor the control variable of Monitor No. 102,
press the following keys in the shown order. The display as shown
below will appear.
MON 1 0 2 ENTER

M 1 0 2 : 0 . 0
Important: Number of digits after decimal of control variables must be specified by
the command data D1-6 (sixth digit of command data 1).
4.3.3.2 To Discontinue Displaying Control Variables
When you desire to discontinue displaying control variables, press the ENTER key
without entering any number; i.e. pressing the MON ENTER keys discontinues
to display control variables.
Important: If you press the ALLCLR key, the display will be cleared and the PSC
Console will return to the initial state.
