Storage:
Never store the tool if wet! Dry out the tool and oil it Then
store it in a dry place
Regular check:
- Always keep the jaw sets, expander set, expander head and cylin-
der clean. Should dirt build up, clean and oil with a brush.
The tool is then to be stored in a dry place.
- Before each use, check the jaw sets, expander head, expander
set and basic tool (inc. hydraulic hose) for damage or visible wear.
Damaged tools may no longer be used and are to be sent immedi-
ately for repair to an authorised Service Center.
- Make sure that the jaw sets fully close when compressing and
that the compression sleeve is inserted fully up to the fitting collar.
- Regularly grease the expander set tapers. Do not apply any
grease to the expander segments! If excess grease gets onto the
expander segments, the segments must be carefully cleaned (e.g.
cleaning solvent) and the dried.
Repairs:
Risk of accident!
Do not carry out any repair work to the tool yourself Repairs
may only be carried out by an authorised Service Center
