Instructions for use

2.1 Opening the
wheelchair:

Gently push down-
wards on the frame
at the sides of the
seat to unfold the
wheelchair. Now
smooth out the seat with your palms.

2.2 Folding up the wheelchair:

Fold the footrests up. Then take hold of
the seat at the front and at the rear under
the seat in the middle and pull upwards. If
needed you can push together the tubes at
the side of the frame to which the seat is
attached.

2.3 Sitting down and standing up

Sitting down:

First, apply the wheelchair's parking brake
and fold the footrests up. Walk backwards
towards the wheelchair, support yourself
lightly on the armrests, and slowly — if
necessary with the help of your accompa-
nying person — lower yourself down into

When unfolding, don't pull too hard on

the armrests to avoid damaging the

components. In order to avoid injuring

your fingers, you should be careful when

unfolding the wheelchair that your hand

doesn't get caught between the frame

and seat tubes.

Notice

You should only sit down in, or stand up

from the wheelchair when the parking

brake is applied in order to avoid acci-

dents. When sitting down and standing

up, avoid standing on the footrests to

avoid accidents.

Attention

the seat. Next, fold the footrests down and
position your feet on them.

Standing up:

First, apply the wheelchair's parking brake

and take your feet off the footrests so that

these can be folded up. Support yourself
lightly on the armrests and — if necessary
with the help of your accompanying person
— lift yourself out of the wheelchair.

2.4 Travel operation
2.4.1.

 When travelling outdoors, you must

observe the traffic regulations. If the

wheelchair is being pushed, the accom-
panying person must use the tip assist to
  negotiate obstacles.

2.4.2.

 When negotiating several steps or

larger obstacles, the wheelchair and the
user should be held by two people and
  carefully lifted over the obstacle.

2.4.3.

If the wheelchair is pushed down

a steep slope, the accompanying person
should do this backwards in order to
prevent the user from falling forwards out
  of the wheelchair.

1. Do not brake abruptly while travelling

    in order to avoid accidents.

2. If you are going down a slope, you

should brake very carefully in order to

    avoid accidents.

3. Do not go down a slope of more than

8° in order to avoid accidents.
