Characteristics of the base of the vessel
The characteristics of the base of the receptacles may affect the homogeneity of the cooking result. Contai-
ners made of materials that promote the spread of heat, such as containers “sandwich” of stainless steel,
distribute the heat evenly, saving time and energy.
No vessel or of inadequate size
If you place a pan on the cooking zone selected or if this is not the material or the right dimensions, the
degree of cooking of the cooking zone displayed in the indicator flashes. Why stop flashing, place a suitable
container. If you delay beyond 90 seconds, the cooking zone switches off automatically.
Empty containers or thin base
Do not heat empty containers and do not use pans with a thin base. The hob is equipped with an internal
system of safety, but an empty container can heat up so quickly that the function of “automatic deactivation”
may not have time to react, with the consequent attainment of a very high temperature. The base of the
vessel could get to the glass melt and damage the floor. In that case, do not touch the pan and turn off the
hotplate. In case of failure after cooling, contact Technical Services.
Detection of the container
Each zone of an induction cooking, has a minimum limit of detection of the receptacle which varies depen-
ding on the material of the container that is being used. For this reason, it must use the cooking zone most
appropriate to the diameter of the container.
