9. Setting up the Transmitter
In the operating instructions, the numbers in the text always refer to the figure opposite or the figures within
the section. Cross-references to other figures will be indicated by the corresponding figure number.
a) Screwing on the Transmitter Aerial
Insert the antenna of the transmitter as far as it will go from the front/ top though the circular opening into the housing
of the transmitter (also see figure 1, item 1) and then turn it tightly like a screw. Tighten the aerial manually. Use neither
force nor tools to tighten it.
b) Inserting the Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries
The power supply of the transmitter requires 8 alkaline batteries (e.g. Conrad Item No.: 652507, pack of 4, order 2) or
rechargeable batteries. For ecological and economical reasons it is recommended to use rechargeable batteries,
since they can be recharged in the remote control via the built-in charging socket.
To insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries, please proceed as follows:
The battery compartment lid (1) is located on the back
of the transmitter. Press the corrugated area (2) and
push off the lid downwards.
Now insert the 8 batteries or rechargeable batteries
into the battery compartment. Always make sure the
polarity of the batteries is correct. The polarity is
indicated (3) at the bottom of the battery compartment.
Slide the cover of the battery compartment back on
and let it snap into place.
c) Charging Rechargeable Batteries in the Transmitter
When using the remote transmitter with accumulators, you can attach a charging cable to the charging jack (7 in Fig.
1) while the transmitter is switched off to charge the accumulators with a suitable charger (not part of the delivery)
directly in the transmitter.
Attention!
The provided power pack unit only serves to supply the LiPo charger with power and is not suited to
charge the transmitter accumulators.
When connecting a suitable charger, observe the correct polarity of the connecting plug. The inner contact of the
charging socket must be connected to the positive terminal (+) and the outer contact to the negative terminal (-) of the
charger.
