h) Checking drive and steer functions
Before using the model, always check if the transmitter settings are correct and if the vehicle responds to the remote
signals correctly.
• Adjust the trim for the drive (see chapter 7, pos. 10) so that the drive does not move when the lever (13) is released.
• Adjust the trim for the steering (see chapter 7, pos. 9) so that the front wheels are straight when the control wheel (8)
is released.
• Turn the dual rate control completely to the right to reach the maximum steering angle. The control can be adjusted
later as desired when driving the vehicle.
• Turn all four control dials "EPA-TH" and "EPA-ST" completely to the right.
• Check if the steering responds correctly to the control wheel (8). Should the response be in the opposite direction
(wheel turned left, steering turns right), put the reverse switch (3) in the other position.
• Check if the drive responds correctly to the lever (13). If necessary, use the reverse switch (4) to swap forward/
reverse drive. Please read chapter 9. j) in this respect.
• Use the two "EPA-ST" control dials to set the steering stop limit to the left and to the right. As described in chapter 7,
the stop limit of the servo should correspond exactly with the end stop of the steering mechanism. This relieves the
strain on the servo gear and saves power.
i) Attaching and fastening the vehicle body
Push the aerial tube from the underside of the body through the designated opening. If there is no opening, you can
easily make one at the appropriate spot using a suitable tool.
Now put the vehicle body on the holders and fasten them used the holding brackets previously removed.
Your vehicle is now ready for its first test run!
