15. Maintenance
Attention!
Unplug the mains plug before performing any main-
tenance work.
• Dust and dirt must be removed from the machine
regularly. Cleaning is best performed using a fine
brush or a cloth.
• When cleaning the plastic do not use corrosive
products.
Carbon brushes
In case of excessive sparking, have the carbon
brushes checked only by a qualified electrician. Im
-
portant: The carbon brushes should not be replaced
by anyone but a qualified electrician.
Service information
Please note that the following parts of this product
are subject to normal or natural wear and that the fol-
lowing parts are therefore also required for use as
consumables.

16. Ordering spare parts
Please provide the following information when order-
ing replacement parts:

• Device article number
• Device ID number
• Replacement part number of the required replace-

17. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled.
The equipment and its accessories are made of vari-
ous types of material, such as metal and plastic. De-
fective components must be disposed of as special
waste. Ask your dealer or your local council.
Connections and repairs of electrical equipment may
only be carried out by an electrician.
Please provide the following information in the
event of any enquiries:
• Type of current for the motor
• Machine data - type plate
• Machine data - type plate
12. Cleaning
Attention!
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting
any cleaning work.
We recommend that you clean the device immediate-
ly each time you have finished using it.
Wipe swarf and dust off the machine from time to
time with a cloth.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth
and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or
solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the
equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the
device.
13. Transport
1. Always switch off the electrical tool before trans-
port and disconnect it from the power supply.
2. For transport, use the locking chain (12) to lock
the machine head (1) in the bottom position again.
3. The saw is equipped with a handle (14) for easy
transport.
4. Protect the electrical tool from impacts, shocks
and severe vibrations, e.g. during vehicular trans-
port.
5. Secure the electric tool against toppling and slip-
ping.
6. Never use protective devices for handling or
transport.
14. Storage
Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry
and frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5 and
30˚C.
Store the electrical tool in its original packaging.
Cover the electrical tool in order to protect it from dust
and moisture.
Store the operating manual with the electrical tool.
