The synchronization port has two SMA female connectors located on the front panel.
One sector controller is designated Master and provides synchronization pulses to up
to five additional sector controllers. This pulse ensures that all sector controllers
transmit and receive simultaneously. For redundancy, another sector controller can be
designated (Backup Slave) to generate pulses if the Master sector controller is
temporarily unavailable (i.e., service upgrade).
3.4.2 Frequency Selection
Where possible, it is recommended to use unique center frequencies for each of the
collocated sector controllers. However, competition for spectrum or RF interference
may restrict the selection of available channels. Channel re-use is available, but
requires use of cross-polarized antennas and minimum distances between antennas to
minimize degradation of CINR due to interference from neighboring sectors.
3.4.3 Frame
Size
All collocated AN-100Us must use the same wireless frame size (i.e., 10 ms).
3.4.4 Uplink/Downlink
Ratio
All collocated AN-100Us must use the same downlink ratio (i.e., 75%).

Configuring the Sector Controller
This procedure is applicable when performing a first-time setup or the default settings
have been restored.
All system management functions can be performed using the Web-based graphical
user interface. This method allows the operator to use an HTML browser to access
and control the terminal from a remote location. Microsoft Internet Explorer is
recommended for its support of context-sensitive help.
3.5.1 Configuration Using a Web Browser
1. Set the IP address of your PC to the following settings:
IP Address:
192.168.101.110
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
2. Connect the host (laptop) computer directly to the Data port of the AN-100U
terminal using an RJ-45 Ethernet (straight-through) cable.
3. Power-on the AN-100U terminal and restore the factory default settings by
depressing the reset switch on the front panel for more than five (5) seconds.
4. Launch a Web Browser on the PC and enter the terminal IP address in the
browser address field (192.168.101.3). The General Information screen is
displayed and the operator can now login to the terminal.
