To charge the battery, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the device is switched off before charging the battery.
2. Connect the mains adapter (15) to the charging/storage station
(4) and a suitable socket.
3. Insert the device into the charging/storage station (4) from above.
The charge indicator (13) now starts to flash. The battery indicator
(11) shows you the current battery state in percent. When the
battery is fully charged, the charge indicator (13) goes out. You
can also charge the device without the charging/storage station
(4). To do so, plug the other end of the mains adapter (15) into the
connection socket (9) on the underside of the device.
4. Once the charging process is complete, pull the mains adapter (15)
out of the socket and the device. The device is now ready for use.
Mains operation
To operate the device with the supplied mains adapter (15), proceed
as follows:
1. Connect the mains adapter (15) to the suitable socket.
2. Plug the other end of the mains adapter (15) into
the connection socket (9) on the underside of the
device. The battery indicator (11) shows you the
current battery state in percent and the charge
indicator (13) begins to flash. The mains adapter
(15) delivers enough power to charge the battery
and operate the device at the same time.
3. After use, pull the mains adapter (15) out of the socket and the
device.
7. Operation
Travel lock
The device has a travel lock. If the travel lock is activated, it is
not possible to switch on the device. The travel lock prevents the
device from switching on by accident (e.g. when transporting it in
a suitcase).
To activate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button
(6) for 3 seconds. The travel lock indicator (12) begins to flash. The
device is now locked.
If the ON/OFF button (6) is briefly pressed when the device is
locked, the travel lock indicator (12) will light up in the LED display
(5) to indicate that the device is locked.
To deactivate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button
(6) again for 3 seconds.
Tips before cutting hair
• Make sure that you wash and dry the hair to be cut.
• Comb the hair to be cut thoroughly in order to remove any knots
and to smooth down the hair.
• Wear a hairdressing cape to stop hair from landing on your neck.
