control wheels of the housing begin to slip, use a soft dry cloth to wipe away any oil and
other contaminates that may cause the loss of friction from both the camera functions and
O-rings.
Flash Up Lever
The housing Flash Up Lever is designed to turn the camera's flash on ONLY. When
installing or removing camera pull set Flash Up Lever out and the middle position. After
installing push Flash Up Lever in and the up so the internal lever is in the proper position.
Flash Close Dial
The CANON G1XMkII camera's on-board strobe does NOT close automatically when
camera is turned OFF. Be sure to manually close the strobe using the Flash Close Dial
before removing camera from housing..
Zoom Lever Lock Screw
Use the Zoom Lever Lock Screw to lock Zoom Lever after setting wide focus when using
an optional wide-angle port and lens. Accidentally zooming in may cause damage to the
port and lens.
Note: When not in use, unscrew the Zoom Lever Lock Screw to the up
position so the screw head rests stationary against the retainer above it.
Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount Screw Socket
For external strobes use Strobe Mask-External Strobe Connection Mount and screw to
connect bear fiber-optic cable (INON) or plug (SEA&SEA).
Port Lock Button
Use to remove the Lens Port. While pressing the Port Lock Button, rotate Lens Port
clockwise until it stops then pull Lens Port off of housing.

Some housing dials are designed to turn the corresponding camera dials back and forth
via friction from the O-ring that come in contact with the camera dials inside the housing.
Should the dials begin to slip, use a soft dry cloth to wipe away any oil and other
contaminates that may cause the loss of friction from both the camera functions and O-
rings.
OPENING AND CLOSING THE BACK COVER

Please do the following operations in a clean area with low humidity and dust.
To OPEN, press Lock Lever while pulling Secure-Latch away from housing main body.
To CLOSE, press Secure-Latch into place making sure the latch on the underside is properly
placed in the Secure-Latch groove attached to the main housing body. Push into the locked
position. Double check to make sure it is firmly locked into place.
