between camera and inside of housing. If camera is not inserted correctly, buttons, dials,
and levers may not function properly.
NOTE:
The internal bezels of the housing Step Ring and Continuous Ring Dials will cause
some resistance. Hold housing in both hands and use thumbs to gently press the left bottom
and right top corners of the camera simultaneously to slowly and gently push camera forward
into housing until camera is properly seated.
5. Push housing Mode Dial down and into place.
6. Turn camera on and test housing Mode Dial, Step Ring Dial, Continuous Ring Dial, Flash
Up Lever, and Flash Close Dial to assure they are functioning properly.
7. Carefully place Camera Extraction Tabs at side of camera inside housing as shown
shown below.
8. After performing O-ring maintenance, carefully close back cover making sure nothing is
caught between the back cover and main body or the Secure-Latch and housing. Push
Secure-Latch into the locked position making sure the Lock Lever is in the locked
position. Double check to make sure the Secure-Latch is securely locked into place.
9. Fill a bucket with water and perform Pre-Dive Check. Immerse Housing (with Port
properly attached) several times, starting with short intervals, gradually lengthening time,
checking for water leakage after each interval. Be sure to test functions at this time.
10. When entering water use a method of water entry that protects the housing from shock,
which can cause water leakage. If at all possible have Housing handed to you after
entering the water.
REMOVING CAMERA
CAUTION!
After use in water, water will remain in gaps between housing, back cover and
Secure-Latch. Wipe any water off housing with a soft dry towel to prevent water from falling
on camera.
1. Pull housing Mode Dial outward away from housing.
2. Use housing Flash Close Dial to manually close camera's on-board strobe is up close.
3. Open the back cover as instructed above.
4. Simultaneously and gently pull Camera Extraction Tabs to until camera lens is completely
dislodged from Lens Port and remove camera from housing.
