Self-test (redundancy test) of operator
When a self-test is carried out?
In certain conditions, the door automatically performs a so-called "redundancy test", i.e. the door car-
ries out a slow opening and closing cycle, thereby checking safety functions.
Such function is executed in particular in case of a change of the operating mode as specified below:
▪ From Continuously open – to another one
▪ From Locked – to another one
▪ From One-Way – to another one
▪ However, at least every 24 hours (except in operating mode Locked) as well as after a reboot of
the STM control unit.
NOTICE
After an incorrect self-test, the door opens and remains in the open position. An
alarm is released (displayed on the BDE-D). Please inform your local service
center.
Resetting the alarm
An alarm can be activated for the following reasons:
▪ An error occurring during the self-test or during normal operating
▪ A hindrance during the opening movement
An alarm can be reset as follows:
▪ By pressing the E-key on the BDE-D (press key longer than 5 seconds)
▪ By pressing the emergency stop switch (option)
