10.2 Indications
The corresponding LEDs on the device indicate the operating state of the device
(see also the "Function and device design" section).
*) Activation of line fault detection for channel 1 or 2 using the DIP switch "LF1" or "LF2"
10.3 Troubleshooting
For troubleshooting, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
If the error cannot be eliminated using the specified procedures:
• Contact RECHNER Industrie-Elektronik GmbH.
For rapid processing, have the following information ready:
• Type and serial number of the device
• Purchase information
• Error description
• Intended use (especially input / output wiring)

Error
Cause of error
Troubleshooting
"PWR" LED is off
• Auxiliary power failure
• Defective device fuse
• Polarity reversal of the
auxiliary power source
• Check the polarity of the auxiliary
power supply.
• Check the wiring of the auxiliary
power supply.
• If the fuse is defective, have the device
repaired.
Line fault "LF" LED is lit
permanently
• Sensor not connected
correctly.
• Ensure correct wiring of the sensor.
• Connect the de-energised contacts to
additional resistors according to the
chapter "Project Engineering".
Still no change of the
switching state at the
output in spite of lighting
up of the yellow "OUT"
LED
Swapping the pluggable
terminals
Insert the pluggable terminals into the device
connection intended for this purpose.
High switching
frequencies are not
transmitted
The version of the isolating
switching amplifier with an
electronic output has been
optimised for use with active
I/O cards. If passive inputs
are used, the potential for the
generation of High Level is
missing.
The High Level is generated by means of an
external circuitry with a resistor for the supply
voltage (e.g. +5 V).
