Tilt and Pan

Tilt and pan the head about 20° in each axis to  
allow the damping setting to engage. Once  
engaged, the head is now ready to use.

 Setting 

the adjustment wheel to an intermediate position will 
result in improper engagement of the damping and could 
result in damage to the system. If you encounter a loss of 
damping during use, check the position of the Damping 
Adjustment Wheel to ensure it is properly aligned at one 
of the marked settings.
