Troubleshooting
Problem:
On the Check Status display, terminals are continuously showing continuity, then
no continuity, or flicker between a continuity display and GET NO RESPONSE
AT THIS ADDRESS in a seemingly random manner.
Possible causes:
• Other modules are set to addresses less than the Maximum Address setting of
the PD2DMX-512D. See the
Setting The PD Address Range section.
Problem:
On the Check Status display, a group of four consecutive terminals are
continuously “bouncing” back and forth across the display.
Probable cause:
• The module’s Arm/Safe switch is set to the Safe position.
Problem:
GET NO RESPONSE AT THIS ADDRESS
Possible causes:
• Maximum Address not set high enough to include all required module addresses.
• Address switches are pointing to a blank space on the dial and not a number.
• Other modules are set within the same address range as the PD2DMX-512D.
• Cable not connected or faulty cable or splitter.
• Module has failed its self test. Check if LED remains lit after power up.
Problem:
Terminals 0 through 3 show a stable pattern while terminals 4 through F are
alternating between continuity and no continuity.
Cause:
The module has detected a fault. Try powering the module off and back on. If the
fault recurs, note the pattern on terminals 0-3, remove the module from use, and
contact Reality Enhancements, Inc. for service.
Problem:
LED remains lit solidly after power up.
Possible causes:
•
