ROBOT MOVEMENT WARNING:
Once you let go of the part, set your payload
back to its default value without the part by tapping the Active Payload button in the
Control Suite at the bottom of the screen and tapping the DEFAULT PAYLOAD
tab. Setting the payload inaccurately could cause unexpected robot movements in
Guide mode, so it's important to update the payload whenever a part is picked up
or dropped.
Open your gripper using the end effector state controls in the RCP.
1
Place your part into the gripper and close it with the RCP controls. Ensure that the location of the
part that the robot is gripping meets the following requirements:
▪ It is where the part will be gripped when it is picked up from its feeder or part's display
▪ There is enough clearance on one side of the part so that it can be inserted into the lathe
collet without the gripper colliding with it.
2
Adjust the payload of your robot to account for the additional weight of the part by tapping the
Active Payload button in the Control Suite at the bottom of the screen and entering the appropriate
payload. Tap
Accept
.
Note:
The payload must be configured in Hardware Configuration in order to enter it into the
Active Payload.
3
Activate Guide mode by pressing the Guide status button in the Control Suite.
4
Position the robot arm so that it is in a position where it can feed the part straight into the lathe
collet. In addition to adjusting the joints, you may need to adjust the Forge/Station's position.
