TL01-A
03/07/12
7/13
Quick start-up
Position the sensor correctly as shown in the previous sections. Use the spacer supplied with the sensor
to find the best angle in relation to the contrast roller (the spacer must be positioned between the sensor
and the roller, so that the reference hole is higher than the sensor). Once the positioning operation has
been completed, remove the spacer.
Make sure that inside the field of view of the sensor there is a contrast to read (e.g. a white sheet with a
black line):
(if necessary, see the end of this manual, for two pages with a black line printed on them which can be
used to perform the calibration)
Focus
1.
2.
The display will show a numerical value. Move the sensor closer or further away from the material
in order to achieve the maximum reflection value. The value is shown on the display. Then secure
the TL01-A in that position (if you have used a white background with black line, the value should
be between 4,5 and 8,5)
Optimal distance (maximum value displayed
and led bar completely on)
Too close/far (value displayed is not maximum,
led bar not completely on)
Keep the
calibration/ contrast
key
pressed for 2÷3 seconds, until the white
and blue lights switch on. When the
display shows “8888”, release the key.
The contrast read by the TL01-A is the
material edge (light), compared to the roller
The contrast read by the TL01-A is given
by the dark line printed on the material
