5 System Optimization
5.1 Select the right loudspeaker
Choose a P-Series model powerful enough to provide the needed SPL at the farthest listnener’s place with an ap-
propriate headroom, we’ll take 96dB averaged in the 400 Hz - 4 KHz frequency band as a general reference value.
Typical headroom factors are at least 6 dB for voice paging, at least 10 dB for voice reinforcement and at least 20
dB for music reinforcement.
