Install LCD Parameters
Table 32: ACU LCD - Install parameters

TV Satellites
- Used to select the correct TV satellite. Not
used for two-way data communications.

Check Switch
- Used to run a switch test for some TV
satellite receivers. Not used for data communications.

Polarization
- Used to select the appropriate polarization
of the satellite signal (H, L, or Auto).

Band
- Used to select the appropriate operating band
(High, Low, or Auto).

Data Satellite
- Used to select the satellite being used for
two-way data communications.
IP Config LCD Parameters
These parameters include Static, Dynamic, and Advanced network settings, and are
used for network administration purposes.
Static Network Parameters
These parameters enable setting all the IP network parameters manually.
When the ACU is in DHCP client mode, the parameter values are available in non-
volatile memory for later use.

- Enter in the IP address of the ACU.

- Enter in the subnet mask of the ACU.

Gateway
- Used to enter another network gateway
address.

Modem IP
- Used to enter the IP address of a so called
IP
based
satellite modem. This type of modem
communicates with the ACU by IP protocol.
(Most of satellite modems communicate with the ACU by
RS232 and this setting is not used for them.)
