The autopilot appears to be unstable
on Northerly headings in the North-
ern hemisphere (or Southerly head-
ings in the Southern hemisphere).
Northerly/Southerly heading correction
not set up (see

).
Display shows ‘CAL OFF’ when enter-
ing calibration.
Calibration access has been prevented
(see
page 64
).
The autopilot will not ‘talk’ to other
SeaTalk instruments.
Cabling problem – make sure all the
cables are connected properly.
Position information not received.
Navigator not transmitting the correct
position data.
The autopilot will not auto advance
to the next waypoint.
No bearing to waypoint information
received from the navigator.
The screen shows a series of rotating
dashes.
Compass deviation correction is running.
The display shows a series of station-
ary dashes.
Data is not being received – check the
cabling.
The display shows ‘Err’.
The navigator has lost its fix – refer to the
navigator handbook for further action.
