SmartPilot X-5R Drive Installation and Setup Guide

3. Referring to the following illustration, identify a convenient surface that will pro-

vide a secure anchoring point for the torque restraint bracket.

Note:  

If your dashboard does not extend below the bottom of the SPX-5R Drive, you may need 

to manufacture an extension from a suitable material, and permanently attach it to the dash-
board, to accommodate the torque restraint bracket.
