Counterfeit detection
The rapicount B 20 checks the ultraviolet and infrared features and the B 40 additionally checks the
magnetic features of banknotes. If a suspicious banknote is found, the machine will stop automatically,
a warning sound will appear and an error message will be shown on the display. The top banknote in
the banknote stacker is the suspicious one. Remove it and press START/RESET to continue the counting
process. By pressing UV or MG, it is possible to switch on/off the ultraviolet or magnetic detection.
Error messages
The rapidcount B is a reliable banknote counter. However, errors may occur during operation, neverthe-
less because the banknote counter checks for counterfeit banknotes too. For trouble-free operation, we
recommend an annual maintenance of the product and a regular cleaning of the machine by using the
cleaning set (optionally available), compressed air (optionally available), a soft cloth or a brush. Switch
off the machine before proceeding to its cleaning.
The following error messages may appear during the self-test after switching on the machine and
during the counting process. Amongst others, they indicate suspicious banknotes.

F Incomplete banknote Remove the plastic cover and clean
the sensors.
