• Before working on any Vehicle put the transmission into Park for automatic
transmissions or neutral for manual transmissions and verify that the parking brake
is set. Always chock the drive wheels.
• Keep all parts of your body, and tools away from moving, rotating and or hot engine
components.
•
Keep the TS58R and all cables away from hot engine components, oil,
water, sharp tools, harsh chemicals, and moving parts.
• Avoid dropping the TS58R.
• Avoid strong magnetic fields e.g. electric motors, speakers, microwave ovens,
alternators, distributors, ignition coils, etc.
• While the engine is running, exercise care around distributors, ignition and spark
plug wires and coils. These components can generate dangerous voltages.
•
Never
use sharp instruments (e.g. screwdrivers, pins, or keys, etc.) to actuate the
TS58R pushbuttons. This will puncture the switch membrane, damage the tool, and
void the warranty.
• Do not make any modifications to the product. Modifications void the warranty and
increases the chances of serious injury or property damage.
• Do not spray any part of the TS58R with water. Moisture can harm the internal
electronic components.
• Refer to the service manual for vehicle under test and adhere to the manufacturer’s
procedures and precautions. Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions may
cause personal injury or damage to equipment.
• Make a visual inspection of the product before using it. Check for damaged or
missing parts. Do not use the product if you find problems with the unit. Instead,
remove it from service, then contact your dealer, call
