FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
•
To fit the R&G tail tidy, remove the seat using the key as shown in picture 1.
•
Remove the Main seat by removing the two securing bolts fastening the seat to the frame.
CB300R Models
•
Remove the brown plastic wiring locator from its mount at the rear of the bike as shown in picture
2 by gently squeezing the locking tabs on the back of the locator
•
Disconnect the original licence plate light by lifting the tab securing the block connectors together
and gently pulling the two pieces apart as seen in picture 3
CB125R Models
•
Locate the indicator connector block on the left-hand side of the bike tucked inside the fairing, peel
back the wire cover to access the white connector as shown in picture 4
•
Remove any cable ties and loosen the wires so they are free of any locators or routing that would
obstruct removal.
On Both Models
•
While supporting the main tail unit, undo the 4 Allen head bolts on the underside of the tail
•
Carefully remove the tail unit while threading the wires through the hole in the LHS of the tail
piece.
Tail unit disassembly
•
The tail unit contains a sub loom for the indicators and OEM licence plate illuminator light. During
reassembly, this will need to be removed in the following steps.
•
Remove the 4 screws and central bolt on the underside of the unit as shown in pictures 8 and 9.
•
Remove the two screws above the reflector to split the rear piece from the stem as shown in picture
10.
•
Disconnect the indicator wires and tail light wires from their bullet connectors to remove the sub-
loom from the stem by splitting the two-piece assembly down the middle as shown in picture 11
and 12.
Tail Tidy Assembly
If fitting OEM Indicators
•
Remove the 1 x Allen head bolt from each indicator from the locator plate as shown in picture 13.
•
Remove the indicator from its location by removing the plastic plate on the inside of the indicator
mount and squeezing the rubber through the location hole on the OEM tail piece as shown in
image 14. Do this for both indicators ensuring to take note of which side each indicator was
removed from.
•
In the same fashion, assemble the indicators on the correct sides to the R&G tail tidy using the
same mounting technique. A small amount of dish soap or lubricant may help in fitting the rubber.
•
Use the indicator spacer (item 10) on the inside of the rubber stem to keep the indicators level.
•
Refit the location plates and hex bolts to secure the indicators to the tail tidy as shown in image 15.
If fitting R&G Mini Indicators
•
To fit R&G mini indicators you will need to use the adaptor plate provided (item 11).
