Assembly
(a Philips screwdriver is needed for assembly, not included)
1. Carefully remove all parts from the outer box and remove all
plastic packaging. Please dispose of packaging in a responsible
manner.
2. Remove the lever bolt and washer from the bottom of the
adjustable shaft, then push the bottom of the shaft into
position in the solid base cover.
3. Ensuring the solid base and cover are lined up properly,
re-fit the washer and lever bolt and tighten by hand only.
4. Slacken the adjustable shaft tightening nut, and slide the inner
shaft out to full extension, and tighten again to secure. The
height can be adjusted once fully assembled.
5. Secure the fan head onto the adjustable shaft using the fitted
wing nut on the rear of the fan head.
6. Remove the fan blade fixing nut (grey) and the rear finger
guard plastic nut (black) from fan blade shaft. Please note the
fan blade fixing nut is a left handed thread (turn clockwise to
undo).
7. Locate the rear finger guard onto the fan head ensuring the
wire handle is uppermost, and that it is properly aligned by
using the three plastic pins on the face of the fan head.
8. Secure the rear finger guard in place with the finger guard
plastic nut (black).
9. Push the fan blade onto the shaft taking care to ensure that it
is located onto the cross pin.
10. Secure the blades in place with the fan blade fixing nut (grey).
Again please note that the fan blade fixing nut is a left hand
thread and must be turned anti-clockwise in order to tighten.
11. Secure the front face plate to the front finger guard using the
three screws and washers supplied (in the bag of fixings).
12. Open the four clips on the front finger guard, and position it
against the rear finger guard, ensuring the holes at the bottom
are lined up and the hook at the top holds them together.
Now fit the nut and bolt through the holes at the bottom and
tighten, then close the four clips securing the front and rear
finger guards together.
Your fan is now ready to use. NOTE: Users in mainland Europe will
need to remove the UK plug converter using a screwdriver (see
back page).
Operation
1. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Plug the fan into a 220-240v socket.
3. Now turn on the fan by selecting either low, medium or high
power (1,2,3) on the fan switch.
4. To adjust the fan tilt, simply loosen the adjustable head bolt
and move to your desired position then tighten. Only adjust
the angle of the fan when power is OFF.
5. To oscillate, push the oscillate button down.
To stop the fan oscillating, pull the oscillate button up.
We recommend unplugging the unit when not in use.
Operate in a safe manner
This is an electrical item so make sure you use only as intended
and instructed in this document. Misuse may cause fire or personal
injury.
This fan is intended for household use only, to protect against
electrical shock the unit must not be immersed in any liquids or
spray. Do not use in damp humid environments.
Due to it being an electrical item, if the unit is being used by
children then care must be taken and we recommend adult
supervision.
Remove fan from power for cleaning or for long periods of non use.
Avoid contact with moving parts and do not force anything into
the fan housing.
Do not operate the fan near to flammable liquids or gas.
Do not operate the fan near hot surfaces or open flames.
Do not operate the fan if it is damaged in any way.
Do not swing or hang the fan by the power cord and be careful not
to cause a tripping hazard with the cord.
When powering down, never pull out the plug from the wall socket
by pulling on the power cable, always grip by the plug.
Always use on level dry surfaces free of dust and damp.
Do not operate without the finger guard in place.
Ensure nothing is in the path of the fan head when oscillating.
Care and Storage
Before cleaning make sure the fan is switched off and unplugged.
Clean your fan with a soft damp cloth, never immerse in water or let
water penetrate the motor housing. Make sure the fan is completely
dry before use.
Never use abrasive or aggressive cleaning products on the fan
housing as this can damage the fan.
When not in use store the fan in its box to protect from household
dust and store in a cool dry environment.
Service and warranty
If the unit malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged, turn off
the power and check for damage to the power lead or plug. Do not
operate if damage has occurred. Do not take the unit apart or alter
the unit in any way as this will void your warranty and may cause
further damage to the unit or personal injury.
If returning a faulty product please make sure the complete unit is
returned to your retailer complete with proof of purchase (warranty
will be void without proof of purchase). For your convenience
please make sure you make a record of your purchase date, retailer
name, model number and date of manufacture.
