When the flames are clear - after approx. 5-10 min.  
- close the door.

After approx. 10-20 min. - when you have a good
bed of glowing embers - add 2-3 pieces of wood.

Be carefull not to place the firewood too close to the 
opening and glass.

Leave the door ajar until the fire has caught on 
properly - close the door. 

After approx. 5 min. - or when the flames are clear 
and stable - close the damper gradually.

It is recommendable to have a layer of ash of approx. 
20 mm, as it has an insulating effect.

Note!

During operation the 
door should always 
remain shut.
