Headlight Replacement Instructions
A constant voltage circuit in the engine controls the locomotive’s lights. They are
easy to remove and replace when they burn out. To replace the light bulbs in the
engine remove the 6 screws that
attach the boiler as shown in fig. 5 on
page 12. Then remove the boiler.
You can obtain replacement bulbs

Headlight:
1. Remove the pilot assembly.
2. Remove the screw that attaches the
headlight shell.
3. Unplug the blue connector in the
front of the boiler shell. See fig. 8
4. Gently pull on the wires to remove
the light bulb from the headlight
shell.
5. Gently push the new light bulb into
the headlight housing.
6. Reconnect the blue connectors.
7. Reassemble pilot and headlight
shell.
Marker LEDs:
The marker lights are illuminated by
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). LEDs
draw very little current and should
last a long time when compared to
light bulbs. However, if one LEDs
fails, both must be replaced as set, since they are wired
together.
To replace the front LEDs
:
1. Unplug the yellow connector in the front of the boiler shell. See fig. 8
2. Gently pull on the wires from the bottom of the marker housings and through
the sides of the smoke box.
3. Gently thread the new LEDs through the sides of the smoke box and into the
marker light housing.
4. Reconnect the yellow connectors.
