INTRODUCTION
This
Operator’s Manual has been compiled for the purposes of safe operation, maintenance and servicing of
Rail-Ability components and systems.
For other operating details (e.g. JCB vehicle, road rail operations, rail gear, etc.) please refer to the publications
listed in the Manuals section.

READ, UNDERSTAND AND OBEY THESE SAFETY RULES AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
OPERATING THIS MACHINE.
ONLY TRAINED AND AUTHORISED PERSONNEL SHALL BE PERMITTED TO OPERATE THIS
MACHINE.
THIS MANUAL SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A PERMANENT PART OF THIS MACHINE AND SHOULD
REMAIN WITH THE MACHINE AT ALL TIMES.

DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
The Rail-Ability machine consists of a road-going JCB 714/718 4x4 articulated truck chassis, modified for use
on rail. The chassis is fitted with rail gear front and rear to enable rail travel. Mounted to the rear of the chassis
is a demountable module dependent on application and approvals.
