USING CLAMPING DEVICE (Pic. 1)
When planing the materials of up to 60 mm in
width on flat surface, it is necessary to use the
clamping device Pos. 8.
To install the device one need:
- shift the guard Pos. 2 to “no work” position (see.
Paragraph.7.2.2) and take off the planer’s guiding
ruler;
- Install the clamping device Pos.8 according to
the arrow from the side of the upper movable table
by matching the holes А1, А2, А3, А4 both on the
clamping device and the machine.
- properly fix the installed clamping device using
screws.
By turning handle which is located on top of the
device, set the clamping rollers to the needed
level.
5.9. THICKNESSING (Pic. 3)
Thicknessing is carried out on the lower table Pos.
101.
Before work, special preparation and adjustment
of the machine are required.
Preparation and adjustment of the machine
include:
- installation of dust collector ;
- setting up the planer’s height (in accordance with
the billet’s thickness).
5.9.1 Installation of dust collector
The dust collector is required to be installed as
shown on Pic. 3.
Fix it using crampons Pos. 50 and screws Pos. 12
5.9.2 Setting up the planer’s height
Install the handle Pos. 49 on the axis of the screw
by matching the handle’s notch and the screw’s
dowel .
By turning the handle, set the needed planer’s
height according to the scale on the lower table
Pos. 102, bearing in mind that the maximal one-
way planer’s depth is 3,5 mm.
A billet must be placed in the lower table and fed
to the direction of arrows, located on the lower
table.
While feeding the billet, stand aside from the
feeding place.
Move the billet slowly and straight. Billet is fed
automatically. Move it across the planer’s table
on a straight line. Use the roller bases to assist
in feeding longer billets. Feed the billet from its
thicker end and its cut-in side down. If possible, do
the lengthwise planning. The quality of the treated
surface will be better if lesser material is taken off
using several feedings of the same billet.
5.10 CROSS-CUT AND LENGTHWISE SAWING

Before use a few necessary preparations and
adjustments of the machine are required.
Set the upper movable table in one plane with the
immovable upper table.
Preparations and adjustments include:
- installation of saw blade;
- installation of the table ;
- installation of the upper guard;
- adjustment of wedging knife’s and housing’s
position;
- setting up the sawing depth .
5.10.1 Installation of saw blade
To install the saw blade, it is required to:
● Take off the guard Pos. 3 (Pic.1);
● Install the special nut Pos.41 on the thread of
the protruding shaft’s end. The special nut is used
for removal of the flange Pos. 42 from the shaft’s
cone;
● Install the flange Pos. 42 on the cone of the
shaft ;
● Install the saw blade Pos. 40 (direction of teeth
as per the arrow showing) and fix
the saw blade using special nut Pos. 37.
● Fix the flange using special washer Pos. 39,
screw Pos. 38.
5.10.2 Installation of the saw table.
To install the table, it is required to:
● Shift the guard Pos. 2 to “no work “position
(see. Paragraph.7.2.2).
The guard Pos. 2 is not to be used at sawing
depth of over 65 mm.
The guard Pos. 2 should be installed under the
table Pos. 30 at sawing depth of less than 65 mm.
● Insert the housing Pos. 33 into the table Pos.
30 and fix it using screws Pos. 28 (7 pieces), after
proper positioning of the housing to the center of
the table’s notch.
● Install the table with the attached housing on the
machine and attach it to the bases Pos. 112 using
screws Pos. 48.
