Preparation
• Always connect the DC adapter to the cassette
player before you connect it to the power source.
When you finish, disconnect the adapter from the
power source before you disconnect it from the
cassette player.
Follow these steps to connect the cassette player to
vehicle battery power.
1. Set the adapter’s voltage switch to 3V if neces-
sary.
2. Insert the Adaptaplug adapter into the adapter’s
cord so it reads + TIP.
3. Pull out the attached rubber plug from the
DC 3V
jack, then insert the Adaptaplug’s barrel plug into
the jack.
4. Plug the other end of the DC adapter into the
vehicle’s cigarette-lighter socket.
Notes:
• Internal batteries (if installed) automatically dis-
connect when you plug a DC adapter into the
cassette player.
• Disconnect the DC adapter and reinsert the rub-
ber plug into the
DC 3V
jack when you are not
using the cassette player.
