RECEIVING MESSAGES
Your pager can receive sports messages (such as
game scores, team standings, news headlines, and
so on — controlled by your paging service provider)
and personal messages (such as those sent by
friends and family).
Sports Messages — When the pager receives any
type of sports message, it silently stores the message
in memory. The pager does
not alert when it receives
a sports message.
Note: When the pager receives a sports message
type (such as team standings) that is
not currently
stored in memory, the pager stores a new message. If
the incoming message type is the same as one al-
ready stored in memory, the new message replaces
(“updates”) the old one. See “Memory Capacity” on
Page 28.
