The ACCELEROMETER subsection of the SENSOR section, shown in
Figure 74 above, is used to calibrate the Accelerometer Readings coming out of
the Accelerometer / Inertia Sensor Harness as shown in Figure 16 on Page 27.
Because of the varying nature of the installation options, the installer should go to
this page and select CALIBRATE, and then APPLY to zero out the readings on
the display. This should be done with the vehicle not moving and the engine not
running. If properly installed, the accelerometer should read about 1 g in the Z
axis before calibration.
