Loading Paper into the Printer
To load a new roll of printer paper do the following:
1. Remove the printer cover by sliding it towards the rear of the Dynalyzer.
2. Remove the paper roll spindle by lifting up on its right end (facing the front of the Dynalyzer).
3. Release the end of the paper from the roll and insert it into the slot facing the roll cavity.
4. Press the Paper Feed Switch and allow the paper to feed several inches.
5. Feed the loose end of the paper through the slot in the printer cover and install it with the
paper cutting edge forward.
6. Ensure the paper is not folded under the cover by pulling on the loose end until several more
inches are fed out.
Changing the Printer Ribbon
To replace the printer ribbon do the following:
1. Retract the paper below the ribbon by twisting the paper roll.
2. Press down on the right side (facing the front of the Dynalyzer) of the ribbon marked “PUSH”.
This will raise the left side.
3. Remove the old ribbon.
4. Ensure that the new ribbon is tightly stretched across the opening by rotating the left side knob
in the direction of the arrow.
5. Install the new ribbon by placing the left side on position first and pressing down on the right
side.
6. Again, ensure the ribbon is tightly stretched across the opening and is not twisted. If necessary
rotate the knob on the left side of the cartridge in the direction of the arrow.
7. Press the Paper Feed Switch to feed the paper. Ensure that the ribbon is in front of the paper.
8. Replace the top cover and pull out several inches of paper to ensure that it is not folded under
the cover.
The printer can be placed in self-test mode by holding down the Paper Feed Switch while applying
power. This should be done after either the paper or ribbon have been changed to ensure the
printer is operating normally. Self-test will terminate automatically once all characters are printed.
