9.5 Implement adjustment
9.5.1
Depth and longitudinal level adjustment
The working depth is set by:
∙
the height of the rear roller.
When working, the undercarriage must be fully raised. The roller
supports the weight at the rear of the implement, the tractor the
weight at the front
In the working position, the following parameters must be met:
∙
Frame parallel to the ground,
∙
Draw bar slightly raised (5° angle): adjust the draw bar tie-rod
and the lifting height if required.
-
To increase the working depth:
∙
Raise the roller.
-
To reduce the working depth:
∙
Lower the roller.
9.5.2
Lateral levelling
90°
In the working position, the frame of the implement must be level
from left to right. This normally occurs when:
∙
tractor preparation has been carefully carried out:
∙
the tyre pressures are identical on both sides, the link arm
stabilisation devices are installed, the tractor linkage vertical
alignment is correctly adjusted.
∙
the implement's rear attachments (roller, levelling and finishing
attachments) are all adjusted in the same way.
i
IMPORTANT:
Once the implement is in the ground at the desired
working depth, move away a few meters to better
determine whether it is level with the ground.
