Controls
Switching On and Off
Press the ‘ON/OFF’ button for 2 seconds to turn the
system on and off. The control panel can only be used
when the battery is connected to the bike. If the system
is not used for 5 minutes it will shut itself down.
Display modes
Press shortly on ‘SET’ to browse through the different
display modes.
Driving-mode
Indicator of chosen driving-mode
Trip distance
Distance travelled since last reset
Timer
Effective time travelled since last start-up
Total distance
Total distance travelled by bicycle (Odometer)
Maximum speed
Indicates the maximum speed driven since the
last reset.
Adjusting the pedal assistance
Use the ‘PLUS’ and ‘MINUS’ buttons to select the
assistance programs (0 - 8). Power level 8 gives the
strongest assistance. In power level 0 the motor gives
no assistance but you can use the display of the bike.
Levels 1-5 are appropriate for flat roads, levels 6-8
are very powerful and only meant for hills, slopes and
tough circumstances.
Please note that the battery runs out of power
significantly faster when using a high power
level compared to a low power level.
Controlling the Walk Assist
Use the Walk Assist feature to help you push the
bike the forward, for example when taking it out of
underground storage. Stand firmly next to the bike and
hold your hands on the handlebar. If a brake lever is
present, keep at least one hand on the brake where
the brake-circuit breaker (interruption of the motor
assistance) is located. This is generally is the left brake
lever. Keep the ‘PLUS’ button pressed while firmly
holding the handlebars. The engine will start after a few
seconds. Once you release the ‘PLUS’ button the Walk
Assist function switches off. The Walk Assist has a speed
of 6 km/h (no load).
