Trunk Circuit Call Routing
Intra-trunk Routing - “Hairpinning”.
As a result of intra-trunk routing, incoming calls from a
particular Trunk Circuit are switched by
Tenor DX
to be routed back out the same trunk circuit rout-
ing group.

Intra-Trunk Routing
Data Network Calls.
Calls coming from the data network can be routed to the Line Circuit or Trunk
Circuit spans. The Tenor will route calls based upon the dialed number. If the number is configured
as a local phone number, the call will be sent to a Line circuit for termination, otherwise the call is
considered a “Hop-Off call” and the Tenor sends it out through a Trunk Circuit span, typically con-
nected to the PSTN.
