Quicksilver 675WE —
System & Component Overview and Operation
16.
Zipwake Interceptors (optional)
Zipwake is a dynamic trim control system that allows the operator to have either an automatic or
manual pitch and roll control of the boat. Located on the hull at the transom, there are two
interceptors which level the boat (port to starboard) caused by uneven weight distribution, too many
people on one side of the vessel, or by strong winds pushing the vessel to one side.
The interceptors are controlled by a panel located at the helm. In auto mode, the system decides how
far the interceptors should be deployed depending on boat speed and attitude. Located on the control
panel, there are two control wheels that allow you to manually control the interceptors. To lower the
bow, simply rotate the pitch wheel up and to raise the bow, rotate the pitch wheel down. To correct a
port list, rotate the roll wheel clockwise, while to correct a starboard list, rotate the roll wheel
counterclockwise.
Refer to the manufacturer
’
s manual for complete instructions and warranty.

Diesel Heat (optional)
The diesel heat system consists of a 3.2kW heater, a 10L diesel tank providing fuel for the heater, and
a control panel that runs the system. The diesel heater, located in the port side of the salon, can be
accessed by removing a panel located in the forward salon dinette seat.
Operation
Prior to use, make sure that the diesel tank is full. The 10L diesel tank, located on the port side of the
bilge, can be accessed via the forward cockpit floor hatch. To fill the tank, first remove the strap
holding the tank in place. Next, remove the cap with the fuel pickup and pull the tank out of the boat.
ALWAYS FILL THE TANK OUTSIDE OF THE BOAT. When filled, re
-
install the cap, and secure the tank in
the bilge.
The diesel heater is controlled by a keypad located on the front side of the forward salon dinette seat.
The panel allows for either automatic control of a preset temperature, or it allows you to vary the
blower speed and temperature manually. There are two directional heating ducts, 1 located on the
forward salon dinette seat, and 1 on the dash, used for defrosting the windshield. In addition, there is
1 additional fixed vent providing heat to the salon area.
The heater pulls air from two locations; there is a single exterior cold air inlet located on the port
