Troubleshooting

Solution
Using the device in an area with poor
reception such as near tall buildings or in
a basement where radio waves cannot be
transmitted.
Try to avoid
Poor reception
Related to the distance from the base
station built by the network.
You can request that the
network service provider
provide a service area plan.
Expired SIM card
Contact your network provider.
Outside the GSM service area
Consult your network provider
on the service area.
Unable to connect
with the network
Poor signal.
Please move to a place with a
better signal and try again.
The SIM card in GT200 doesn’t support
GPRS.
Try a GPRS supported SIM
card.
APN is wrong. Some APN can not visit
the internet directly.
Ask the network operator for
the right APN.
Messages can’t be
reported to the
backend server by
GPRS.
The IP address or port of the backend
server is wrong.
Make sure the IP address for
the backend server is an
identified address in the
internet.
Please move GT200 to a place
with open sky.
It is better to let the top surface
face to sky. (The same surface
with LED indicator)
GT200 can’t get
successful GPS
fixing.
The GPS signal is weak.
GT200 will stop GPS if it can’t
get GPS fixing in 2 minutes
(except in emergency mode).
So please make sure the GPS
signal is good enough when
doing the first time of GPS
fixing.
Unable to power off
GT200.
The keypad has been locked.
Put the lock keypad key to
unlocked mode.
