The Internet browser software is not supplied with the DX3000 and

DX5000 systems; you must obtain and install it independently. The

DX3000 and DX5000 systems support the following Internet browsers:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later

You can download this software from

http://www.microsoft.com.

• Mozilla Suite 1.7 on Solaris 10

You can download this software from

http://www.mozilla.org.

• Firefox 1.0.6 on Windows

You can download this software from

Page Menu Items

The following figure depicts the menu items available from the DX3000

and DX5000 Web pages.

Note:

If Internet Explorer is the default browser on the client

system:

•The latest security updates for Microsoft VM (virtual

machine) must be installed on the client system.

•The security settings must be set no higher than

“medium”. If the settings are set to “high security”,

the browser will not be able to login to the system

since the system needs write access to the client.

•The “Play animations in web pages” item in the Internet

Options/Advanced/Multimedia menu must be

enabled.
