Hard Drive Sled LEDs

The individual hard drive sleds contain LEDs that indicate the health
condition of the hard drive. Refer to
figure 12

table 4

Ethernet Port LEDs

On the back of the DX3000/DX5000 chassis, the Ethernet ports contain
LEDs that indicate the status of the Ethernet port. Refer to
figure 13
and
table 5
.
Power on
This LED is lit when the DX5000 is powered
on.
LED
Description
LEDs off
No power.
Blue LED solid
The hard drive is powered on and available
for storage.
Blue LED blinking
The hard drive is active and receiving data.
Red LED solid
The hard drive sled has failed. Replace the
hard drive sled (see the
Quantum DX3000/
DX5000/DPM5500 Hard Drive Replacement
Instructions
(PN 81-81506) included on the
documentation CD.
