Replacing the Width Transmitter Board

Replacement width transmitter board
Complete the following steps to replace one of the width
transmitter boards. The width transmitter boards are
located at the bottom of the gate.
1. Power the CubiScan 125 off.
2. Carefully remove the glass platform and place it in a
safe location. Move the gate all the way to the left
side of the system.
3. Remove the eight screws holding the gate cover in
place using the 5/64'' Allen wrench. Refer to
.
4. Remove the filter and set it aside.
5. Remove the four Allen screws, two on each side of
the gate, using the 1/16'' Allen wrench. Refer to
. The width transmitter board assembly
will now be free to move.
6. Carefully lift up the width transmitter gate assembly
and turn it over.
7. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the six screws
holding the damaged transmitter board in place.
These screws are located in each corner and the
middle of the transmitter board.
8. Disconnect the power cable, as indicated in
.
9. Disconnect the DB9 transmit ribbon by
simultaneously pushing the tabs located on each end
of the connector outwards. The transmit ribbon is
indicated in
10. Carefully remove the damaged transmitter board
and replace it with the new transmitter board.
Handle the board with care; the LEDs are fragile and
can be broken. Make sure you orient the transmitter
board correctly, with the power connector towards
the back of the CubiScan 125.
