Introduction
Before using for the first time, kindly take time to carfully read your user manual. Please observe all
safety precautions and follow operating procedures. After reading, kindly store your manual in a safe
place for your future reference. If you pass this appliance to a third party, these operating manual must
also be handed over.
Important safety instructions
1. Before using the appliance for the first time, remove any labels or protections from the iron's plate.
2. Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before
connecting the appliance to the power supply.
3. Always connect the appliance to a grounded outlet.
4. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
5. Never leave the appliance within child's reach.
6. If you leave the appliance unattended, even momentarily, always remove the plug from the wall
socket.
7. Do not leave the hot iron on the connection cable or power cord.
8. Do not fill the water tank with vinegar or other anti-limestone agents.
9. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
10. The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
11. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
12. The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
13. The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the water reservoir is filled with water.
14. The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been
adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
15. Never use the iron if it is damaged. Any repair work, including the replacement of the power cord and
temperature regulators, must only be carried out by an authorized service personel or by a person
with a similar qualification - as a special tool is required - in order to avoid any risks.
16. If needed, replace broken / worn out parts only with another original spare part.
17. We do not assume the responsibility for any damage caused by the incorrect use of the appliance or
for uses other than those described in this booklet.
18. This appliance is in conformity with the EEC Directive relevant to electromagnetic compatibility.
Warning
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.
• Do not use the appliance in bathroom.
• Do not pull the supply cable or the appliance to remove the plug form the socket.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, frost, etc.).
• Do not allow the appliance to be used by children or irresponsible persons unless under supervision.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water.
• Do not leave the iron unattended when it is switched on, as this may be a source of danger.
• Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operations, always disconnect the appliance from
the power supply by removing the plug.
• In the event of failure or malfunction, switch off the appliance and do not attempt to carry out repairs.
Contact an authorized Service Center and insist on original spare parts. Failure to observe the above
points may affect the safety of the appliance.
